My name is Brad, and I was an Elementary teacher for 10 years in Seoul, South Korea. I focused on conversation, reading, writing and comprehension. English was the most important subject, but as an immersion teacher we also taught basic Science and Math. An important tool that I use are concept questions, this way a teacher can truly know if a student understands what they are studying.

I have implemented some of the resources I used as a teacher with my own children. I have an eight year old and a five year old, each has different strengths so I can use different strategies with both of them.

Being an elementary teacher has taught me a lot of valuable assets in life, some of the main concepts is the importance of showing patience and being an excellent listener.

I have taught in Korea for ten years. First I taught at a language institute where I was the head foreign teacher of the kindergarten program for three years. I got my teaching certificate through Cambridge university at the British Council in Seoul. Then I went to Sahmyook Taegang elementary school and was the head foreign teacher of the English program for five years. I also taught conversational skills and comprehension to multiple businessmen, high school and university students over my tenure in South Korea.

Teaching elementary students and having children of my own has really helped me with self discipline, patience and keeping a good sense of humor. My goal is to help all of my students feel comfortable because I know first hand how difficult it is to learn another language. With me I will ensure that no matter what your level is, you will feel at ease when studying with me and you will always get an encouraging smile from me.
