For over 30 years, I’ve coached and mentored students of all ages—starting when I was 13 years old. My experience spans working with children, teens, and adults in one-on-one and group settings, both in person and online. While I don’t hold a formal teaching certificate, I’ve served as a U.S. Marine and Navy Corpsman, worked as a French medical interpreter in Africa, and built a lifelong habit of self-directed learning in fields as diverse as cybersecurity, writing, languages, and theology.

My tutoring approach is equal parts strategic and relational. I focus on understanding each student’s learning style and building confidence through consistent progress. Whether I'm helping someone strengthen their writing, grasp cybersecurity fundamentals, or explore deeper thinking through Bible studies, I emphasize clarity, discipline, and encouragement. I believe the best tutors don't just teach material—they equip students to become self-driven learners for life.

I specialize in writing, creative storytelling, Bible studies, cybersecurity basics, and study skills. My students have included homeschoolers, college students, veterans, and adult learners returning to education. I see every session as a chance to not only solve problems, but also spark curiosity and build lasting skills. If you're looking for a tutor who brings depth, patience, and real-world insight, I’d be honored to work with you.

Bible Studies

Bible Studies

I have taught and mentored others in Bible study for over 30 years, with a strong emphasis on spiritual growth, theological clarity, and practical application. I bring a deep familiarity with both Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek, helping students explore the original language and meaning of Scripture. My lessons are tailored to your level—whether you're a beginner, a seminary student, or a curious seeker. I specialize in guiding people through interpretation, spiritual insight, and confident, informed reading of the Bible.
Creative Writing

Creative Writing

I’ve been writing fiction and mentoring young writers for over 20 years, with a focus on character-driven storytelling, worldbuilding, and meaningful themes. My published works include dark fantasy and spiritual fiction that explore redemption, identity, and inner transformation. I help students refine their voice, sharpen their prose, and write stories that matter—whether they're working on a novel, a short story, or a personal essay. I also coach students in structure, pacing, dialogue, and revision, tailored to their goals and creative vision.
Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity

With a background in military operations, systems engineering, and self-directed cybersecurity study, I help students break down complex security concepts into understandable, actionable knowledge. I mentor aspiring analysts and career changers in fundamentals like network defense, threat modeling, and ethical hacking principles. My teaching emphasizes critical thinking, real-world application, and hands-on practice over jargon. Whether you're preparing for certifications or just beginning your journey, I’ll help you build the confidence and clarity to move forward.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I’ve spent over three decades mentoring others in high-stakes communication, including during my time as a U.S. Marine and Navy Corpsman, and later through public teaching, interpreting, and coaching roles. My approach helps students not just deliver words—but command presence, connect with audiences, and speak with purpose. Whether you're preparing for a speech, building confidence, or refining delivery, I tailor every session to your strengths and goals. I also help students overcome fear, organize content, and use storytelling as a persuasive tool.
