I am experienced in the education realm with designing and developing courses, assessing student needs and progress, organizing and leading projects and events, communicating and collaborating with diverse teams, teaching and mentoring students in diverse educational curricula. In the past 12 years, I have had the opportunity to work with students from the ages of 3.5 to 18. I am a huge advocate for assisting students in the educational setting.
Throughout the years I have had the chance to work for nonprofit programs that reach out to students that need the help. As a previous AmeriCorps tutor, I was able to get to get to know students and set goals together for their needs. The thing I like most about tutoring is making the connection with students and learning about their interest which then helps me facilitate the positive learning experiences. Tutoring is also a chance that I can provide guidance for my students and this is very important to me as an educator.
I have worked for school districts for 10 years. I have also had the opportunity to have credential courses that specify in common core standard development.
