For over 20 years, I remained focused in my role as an educational assistant/professional tutor at St. Louis Community College–Florissant Valley. I was a certified Adult Basic Education Instructor to assist students earn their HiSet (formerly GED degree).

I strive to responsibly provide quality tutoring to students of various backgrounds and cultures by encouraging them to reach their potential during tutoring sessions and beyond. In addition, I have successfully tutored elementary, middle and high school students via Wyzant's online tool.

In the interest of professional development, I successfully completed the Comprehensive online tutoring program and am an advanced certified tutor through the National Tutoring Association with a certification endorsement in English Language and Writing. I utilize effective written, oral, and research skills. I assist studentswith reading comprehension and writing. I have taught students via Google Classroom and was certified as a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Level 2.

Additional qualifications that I offer are effective time management skills, an outstanding work ethic, a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude. Furthermore, as an English and Writing tutor, I have received above average ratings in regards to my quantity of work, adaptability, cooperativeness, and attendance/punctuality on the College Employee Performance Appraisal Forms.
