I’m a former high school science teacher with 11 years of classroom experience, specializing in Chemistry and Physics. I spent five years teaching at Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky, before spending the past six years teaching at international schools in Seoul, South Korea, and Bonn, Germany.
Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of curricula and worked with students from diverse academic, cultural, and learning backgrounds. My experience includes IB Diploma Program Chemistry and AP Physics 1, as well as a variety of other high school science courses.
One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is my ability to break down challenging scientific concepts into clear, manageable pieces. Over 11 years, I have developed a large collection of resources, examples, and teaching strategies that help students move beyond memorizing content and instead develop a genuine understanding of the material. I adapt my approach to each student's individual needs, whether they need help building foundational knowledge, preparing for an exam, or tackling more advanced concepts.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Arkansas and a Master's degree in Teaching from the University of Louisville.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident, independent, and capable science learners. I am easy to reach and will always respond provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
