Hi, I’m Julio, an otolaryngology resident surgeon at the University of Missouri. I earned my B.S. in Neuroscience from Washington and Lee University and my M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine.
I’ve spent years mentoring students at both the undergraduate and medical school levels, tutoring general and organic chemistry in college and supporting first- and second-year medical students with coursework and USMLE preparation. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable ideas while helping students develop efficient, high-yield study strategies.
For pre-med and medical students, I offer more than content review—I provide structured guidance on test-taking, long-term retention, and navigating the demands of the medical training pathway.
My own exam performance includes a 517 on the MCAT, 247 on USMLE Step 1, 258 on Step 2, and 237 on Step 3.
Ultimately, my goal is to pay forward the mentorship I received by equipping students with the tools, confidence, and strategies they need to succeed.
