Teaching has always been part of my identity. For generations, members of my family have been educators, and even my last name, Dabiri, comes from dabir, meaning teacher. From an early age, I learned that teaching is not about lecturing or memorization, but about growing alongside students. My formal education at the University of Missouri, where I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, reinforced this belief and helped me develop student-centered approaches that encourage curiosity, dialogue, and confidence in learning.
My earliest teaching experiences were with middle school students, working one-on-one and in small groups to help them make sense of complex ideas in ways that felt relevant and engaging. Since then, I have taught across multiple levels, including high school and higher education, in both classroom and individualized settings. I have taught subjects such as history, art, sociology, and education-related courses, and I enjoy helping younger learners connect academic material to real-world issues, creative expression, and their own lived experiences. Whether I am working with a student on historical thinking, visual analysis in art, or social concepts, I focus on building strong foundations while keeping learning interactive and meaningful.
In addition to supporting younger students, I also help advanced learners with research, academic and dissertation writing, and academic projects, including qualitative and quantitative work. As the managing editor of a reputable journal, I can help you become a published scholar.
