Hi, my name is Justin! I am a University of Missouri, Columbia student studying political science and economics on the pre-law track. In high school, I graduated with high honors. I was inducted into the National Honor Society and other honors organizations for high-performing students. This is not about my performance but what I can do for my students. Throughout my years of education, I have had my fair share of poor teachers and a variety of teaching styles, so I could adapt to many students' learning styles and practically any educational boundary I come across.
I have 2 years of tutoring experience in a variety of subjects. This experience comes from my high school Junior and Senior years, where I participated in a program through our library and outreach programs, where we would go to surrounding schools (Elementary and Junior High) and provide educational help to students who signed up for the aid for that week. This was an entirely voluntary program in which I put in 5 hours every week to ensure that students who needed extra attention and aid were given a fair opportunity, judgment-free.
Helping students brings me so much joy. When I see that light bulb turn on in their eyes when the topic finally makes sense, all the hours and hard work are worth it. I am also a student, so I have been there and will probably find myself there in the future, so having someone to talk to through it is vital. I want to be that for you!
