I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching Physics, Chemistry and Math at every level of rigor: middle school, high school, and undergraduate. I love teaching in the classroom, but working one on one with my students is my passion! I love Physics, Chemistry, and Math! My love of these subjects led me to earn a degree in and work in the field of Chemical Engineering. My love of inspiring young people to enjoy STEM subjects led me to my teaching and tutoring career!

Proficiency in Math and Science subjects is not just about learning and retaining content. To be proficient, students must learn to think critically and be able to apply content to problem solving. In tutoring, I think it is especially important help students acquire the thought process required for proper problem solving. I encourage my students to find connections to existing knowledge, identify the distinctiveness of new content, visualize the problem, and make associations to applicable personal experiences.

Building up students confidence in their problem solving abilities is critical to their success! I tutor students to help them accurately complete their assignments and be prepared to score well on their tests....but my ultimate goal is to help them feel accomplished and confident to approach the next problem.

When preparing for tests, I help my students accurately self-assess their knowledge and the depth of their understanding. When students are taught to deeply process the course content, to overlearn, and to evaluate their metacognition they will better understand and retain new knowledge.
