I have loved helping students understand math for as long as I can remember. My first “students” were my classmates in fifth grade, and I later worked as an ACT prep and math tutor throughout high school and college. Since the summer of 2022, I have also taught as an adjunct professor at Maryville University, where I support students in an online college math setting. My experience includes working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom environments.

I graduated from Maryville University’s Actuarial Science program in 2020, and my academic background has given me a strong foundation in algebra, calculus, statistics, and applied math. I have tutored a wide range of math subjects, including algebra, precalculus, calculus, statistics, college math, and ACT math prep. I especially enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed or frustrated by math because I know that confidence often matters just as much as content knowledge.
My tutoring style is patient, practical, and encouraging. I break problems into manageable steps, explain concepts in more than one way, and help students understand not just what to do, but why it works. I do not expect every student to love math, but I do want them to feel capable of learning it. Whether a student is trying to catch up, prepare for a test, improve a grade, or build a stronger foundation for future math courses, my goal is for them to leave each session feeling more confident and prepared.
