I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Psychoeducational Studies with a Minor in Spanish from Howard University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors. I've worked with students from Pre-K through high school across classrooms, churches, camps, and DEI spaces. I tutored Spanish throughout college, currently teach Pre-K, and will soon transition into a middle school Spanish teaching role. These are all experiences that help me meet students exactly where they are and support their growth over time.

Spanish has always felt vibrant and full of possibility to me. I've had the chance to travel abroad, connect with Spanish speakers from different cultures, and use the language in real-life moments that shaped how I see the world. These experiences showed me that Spanish is more than a subject, it's a tool for connection, equity, and empathy. That's the philosophy I bring into every tutoring session: every learner deserves to feel seen, confident, and inspired.

Still, my own journey with Spanish wasn't without its challenges. I rarely saw teachers who looked like me, and often felt I had to prove I belonged in language spaces. That changed when I had an incredible high school teacher who truly saw me, mentored me, and made Spanish feel personal and alive. Because of them, I've committed ever since to creating that same kind of affirming space for others.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and adaptable. I tailor each session to your learning style and goals, supporting skills like grammar, vocabulary, writing, pronunciation, and conversation practice. I love working with both brand-new learners and heritage speakers, often incorporating cultural exploration and immersion activities to keep things fun and relevant.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation for new families, require 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling, and provide regular session updates so everyone stays in the loop.

I'd love to support you or your student on their Spanish journey!

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Psychoeducational Studies with a Minor in Spanish, where I focused on language acquisition and culturally responsive teaching. I’ve worked with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds—from Pre-K to adult learners—helping them build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English. My experience in inclusive education and language tutoring allows me to tailor lessons that meet each learner’s needs and goals. I prioritize clarity, patience, and practical strategies to support English language learners in real-life and academic contexts.
Soccer

Soccer

I’ve been deeply involved in the sport of soccer for over two decades, both as a competitive player and as a youth coach. My experience includes coaching players aged 5 to 17, where I’ve designed and led training sessions focused on technical development, tactical awareness, and teamwork. I stay up to date on modern coaching methods and youth development practices to ensure every player grows with both skill and confidence. Soccer isn’t just a sport I play—it’s something I study, teach, and love to share with others.
