Education has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. At age ten, I knew I wanted to become a teacher, and I have spent my career pursuing that passion. I earned undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, a master’s degree in Educational Change, and licensure in Emotional Disabilities.

For more than 25 years, I have worked with students from elementary school through high school in a variety of settings. My experience includes teaching and tutoring reading, writing, math, study skills, and other academic subjects. I have worked extensively with students in small groups and one-on-one, allowing me to tailor instruction to each learner’s strengths and needs.

My approach begins with building a positive relationship and creating a supportive learning environment. From there, I help students identify their strengths, address skill gaps, develop effective study habits, and build confidence. I believe every student can make meaningful progress when given the right tools, encouragement, and support.

While I enjoy working with learners of all ages and abilities, some of my greatest successes have been with middle school students. I enjoy helping them navigate the transition to greater academic independence while preparing for high school and beyond.

In addition to K–12 students, I have tutored adults returning to education, students preparing for the SAT and ACT, high school students completing credit recovery courses, middle school students developing study and organizational skills, and elementary students strengthening literacy and math foundations.

I am passionate about helping students reach their potential and discover that learning can be both successful and rewarding. I look forward to supporting you on your educational journey.
