I am a CRLA certified tutor with 9 years of experience tutoring students from middle school through college.  I specialize in tutoring math and statistics to high school and college students.  I most often tutor students in statistics, precalculus, trigonometry, algebra, and Finite Math. I also help students prepare for the ACT with individualized instruction and test-taking strategies.

I became a College Reading and Learning Association certified tutor while tutoring at Winona State Tutoring Services for three years.  When tutoring students, I focus on tutoring by example, helping students connect current problems to concepts they already understand, and giving students additional resources to better achieve their goals.

As a full-time professional tutor, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their educational goals.  I am currently accepting new clients and would love to help you next!

Statistics

I have been tutoring Statistics since 2011. I have a Master's in Statistics focusing on applied statistics methods. I often help students with AP statistics, college level statistics, and mathematical statistics. I love helping students learn more about statistics concepts by showing them patterns and tips to complete different problems.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring Algebra since 2010. I focus on relating these new problems to old processes that students already understand. I like helping students with word problems. Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have been tutoring Algebra 2 since 2012. I focus on relating new problems to old concepts that students already understand. I often help students with homework and test prep. Algebra 2 can be confusing because students learn many new techniques but often have a hard time choosing which one to use for a new problem.
Geometry,

Geometry

I love tutoring geometry. It is a unique math class that challenges a lot of students. I often help students with their homework and prepare for tests on topics such as transformations, trigonometry, analytic geometry, and geometry proofs.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

Isabella, 3 lessons with Breanna

Excellent, Methodical Tutor

Breanna tutored my daughter in Finite Math. She was the third tutor my daughter had while preparing for an upcoming math test and by far the most helpful. My daughter is convinced she would have failed the test without Breanna's help and she (my daughter) ended up scoring well above the average. My daughter will seek Breanna's help for her next test as well.

Knowledgable and patient tutor

Currently, I am taking a college level finite math class and have been struggling with understanding probability amongst other concepts. Breanna truly helped bring clarity to my questions and was extremely patient and informative on the math concepts. I highly recommend her for those needing some form of help in Finite math we had an extremely helpful session.
