I enjoy working with students interested in learning, willing to make mistakes, and students who can accept that learning is an active process where the student and tutor work together to understand a concept, and then continually work on similar examples until the student is able to make connections from basic concepts to completing practical problems on their own. I enjoy being apart of this process and find it highly rewarding. Learning isn't easy, but with enough practice and dedication, you can learn anything.

I am qualified to tutor Biology because I have majored in this subject as an undergraduate at the University of Chicago and completed my Masters in Biological Science at the University of Minnesota in 2016. I have also completed the AP Biology sequence in high school along with multiple electives - including: genetics, immunology, neurology, zoology, plant biology, and cell & molecular biology. I am passionate about this subject, and enjoy teaching concepts to students.

I focused my graduate studies in understanding molecular genetics and genomics. I took graduate courses such as "Advanced Genetics and Genomics", "Human Genetics", "Pharmacogenomics", and "Mammalian Gene Transfer".
MCAT

MCAT

I focused my Masters studies in genetics, immunology, and cancer biology after completion of the pre-medicine course requirements as an undergraduate at the University of Chicago. I also took the new MCAT in 2016 and received a 512 score (equivalent to 31 on the old test). I hope to promote an understanding of the foundations of biological systems for MCAT test takers.
