I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in Organizational Psychology and an emphasis in quantitative methods and research design. My graduate training included advanced coursework in statistical modeling, psychological measurement, and systematic research synthesis, and my published research appears in outlets such as Psychological Bulletin and the Journal of Applied Psychology.
I have been teaching psychology at the college level since 2018, across a range of institutions including the University of Minnesota, the University of St. Thomas, Normandale Community College, and most recently as a Professor at St. Catherine University. My classroom experience spans courses in general psychology, statistics, research methods, personality theory, and psychological testing, giving me the ability to meet the needs of students at a variety of levels. My students have primarily been traditional and non-traditional college undergraduates, though I have also supported graduate-level work and several independent research projects.
My tutoring approach is grounded in the same evidence-based methods I bring to the classroom: I prioritize conceptual clarity before procedural steps, use real examples to make abstract ideas concrete, and adapt my explanations to each student's background and goals.
