I’m Elizabeth. I’m a current nursing student advancing my degree, and I have been a licensed practical nurse for 12 years. I’m Elizabeth. I’m a current nursing student advancing my degree, and I have been a licensed practical nurse for 12 years. My clinical background spans direct patient care and home care nursing, and a core part of that work has always been patient education, meaning I regularly explain complex medical information clearly to people with no clinical background. That skill translates directly into how I tutor.
Over the past two years I have tutored students one on one, including volunteer experience, working with students of all ages. I have supported classmates throughout my general courses and nursing program and have experience tutoring in math and the sciences, including algebra, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology. I also tutor medication dosage calculations, pharmacology, and nursing program coursework. I bring many years of real clinical experience, which I can use to help students connect textbook concepts to the practical reasoning that NCLEX questions actually test. I hold an active LPN license and help students prepare for both the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN, including the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) format, with a focus on building real understanding rather than surface-level memorization.
My tutoring style is conversational, low-pressure, and tailored to each student. Whether you are struggling with a specific concept, want to work through practice problems, or need a study strategy overhaul, I am happy to help. We can schedule a session and figure out the best way to work together!
