I’m a former high school math teacher with a degree in Mathematics and several years of classroom and one-on-one teaching experience. I taught Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 to students in grades 9–11, and I also support middle school math foundations and English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. My experience includes teaching in a classroom setting, working with small groups, and providing individualized academic support.
My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly understand the “why” behind math concepts rather than simply memorizing steps. I break down complex ideas into manageable pieces, use visual explanations when helpful, and adjust my approach based on each student’s learning style. I also work to build confidence, because many students come to tutoring feeling frustrated or unsure about their abilities in math.
During my time as a teacher, I regularly supported students at many different skill levels—from those who needed help strengthening foundational skills to those preparing for tests and working toward higher achievement. I aim to create a supportive, patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.
Whether you need help with homework, test preparation, or strengthening core math skills, I’m here to help make math clearer, more manageable, and even enjoyable.
