Hi, I’m Sarah, a senior at Washington University in St. Louis. I took the MCAT in the summer of 2024 and scored in the 100th percentile. I’ve been on the Dean’s List every semester and have excelled in courses closely aligned with MCAT content. I’ve been tutoring since high school and continued throughout college, most recently leading small group sessions and one-on-one lessons in biology and chemistry. This experience has allowed me to work with a variety of learning styles, and I genuinely enjoy helping students break down complex topics and build confidence in the material.
The MCAT covers a broad range of topics, but in my experience, it doesn’t often go very deep into any single subject. Instead, many of the questions can be solved with your knowledge coupled with passage info, which is why I believe that learning how to effectively read through the passages is key to success. I aim to teach skills such as connecting questions to key concepts, breaking down dense passages, and interpreting experimental data. as how to extract key details, interpret data, and avoid common traps. These tools will be applicable to passages in all the different sections, so you’ll be able to approach each section with more confidence and flexibility.
