I began tutoring in college by helping Spanish-speaking immigrants prepare for their U.S. citizenship exams. While in Spain, I tutored students aged 8 to 18 in English, working with them in their homes after school. After returning to the U.S., I continued tutoring Spanish to a wide range of learners—from elementary school students to adults preparing for careers in Spanish education. These sessions have taken place both in person and online, mostly in one-on-one settings. I’ve also led small group lessons, particularly for younger learners seeking fun, engaging exposure to the language. For my secondary-level students (ages 12–18), I’ve supported their learning by helping them catch up in class, prepare for assessments, and deepen their understanding as they pursue advanced Spanish coursework.
