Hello!

I am an English Teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Literature, and a Master's degree in Education Administration. Basically, I am a literature and education fanatic. During the school year, I teach AP Literature in Composition as well as coach my school's competitive Speech Team.

I am an English Teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Literature, and a Master's degree in Education Administration. Basically, I am a literature and education fanatic. During the school year, I teach AP Literature in Composition as well as coach my school's competitive Speech Team.

The courses I teach in person are 11th and 12th grade, but I have worked with all age ranges, including adult education. I have tutored online before and am looking to work with students interested in help with composition, preparing for AP Language or AP Literature, or any age range looking to reinforce literacy, composition, and language skills.

I have experience working with EL students at all age ranges, and am passionate about literacy access for all.

Literature is my passion! I love teaching AP Literature and Composition and have attended many workshops and institutes to make sure I am on the leading edge for the best strategies in teaching literature.

I have taught Public Speaking as a full accredited course, and it is a unit in all of my classes as a high school English Teacher. Moreover, I am the assistant Speech Coach in a large competitive district, with four years of experience in this role. Last year, a student that I coached made it to State Finals in the MSHSL 8AA competition.

Reading comprehension and analysis are a few of the key skills taught in the AP Literature and Composition, which is a course I have taught for three years.

I have worked with many students to improve their writing skills. In the classroom, I teach every type of composition with my students both in AP and general education high school classes. I have worked with EL adult learners to improve writing as well, and have extensive experience working as a writing tutor online.
