Teaching & Tutoring Experience:
With over 10 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate, I have had the privilege of guiding students through the complexities of biochemistry, microbiology, and related life sciences. My teaching experience includes:
• University Teaching: I have been a professor for over 10 years, where I primarily teach undergraduate biochemistry courses, and sometimes chemistry and microbiology courses. My teaching style is flipped, with the majority of in class time spent working problems.
• One-on-One Tutoring: In addition to classroom instruction, I have provided personalized tutoring to undergraduate students for 3 years. My approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications of biochemical principles.
• Mentorship & Research Guidance: As a faculty mentor, I have supervised undergraduate in research projects, helping students design experiments, analyze data, and present findings in academic settings.
• Advising: I regular advise students who are exploring paths toward medical school, dental school, pharmacy school, physician assistant/associate school, and other professional graduate programs in the health sciences.
Teaching Philosophy & Methods:
I believe in making biochemistry accessible and engaging through:
• Active Learning Strategies: Encouraging discussions, and problem-solving exercises to reinforce learning.
• Real-Life Applications: Connecting biochemical concepts to medical, environmental, and industrial applications.
• Interactive Resources: Utilizing visual aids, molecular modeling software, and digital simulations to simplify complex concepts.
If you're looking for someone who loves talking about biochemistry and wants others to love this subject too, I’d love to help you succeed in your academic journey!
