I completed a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and also hold a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Michigan State University. My academic training has given me a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, and population health. I am currently completing Surgical First Assistant training at Mayo Clinic, where I continue to build on my understanding of human anatomy, clinical science, and the practical application of medical knowledge.
In addition to my academic training, I have experience supporting students in science education. I previously served as a teaching assistant at Michigan State University, where I helped undergraduate students understand biological concepts, prepared students for exams, and provided guidance during office hours. Through this experience, I learned how to break down complex material into clear explanations and adjust my teaching approach depending on how each student learns best.
My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind scientific concepts rather than memorizing isolated facts. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult material step by step. My background in medicine, public health, and teaching allows me to help students build both confidence and strong foundational knowledge in biology and related sciences.
