I am a licensed teacher in the state of Minnesota with a strong background in elementary education and middle school science. I hold a bachelor's degree in education and a Master’s degree in Science Education for grades 5–8. With nearly two decades of classroom experience working with students in grades K–8, I’ve created and implemented lessons that build foundational skills, spark curiosity, and support a wide range of learners. I am especially passionate about making science accessible and engaging for middle school students, helping them connect content to the real world.

For 19 years, I taught across a variety of school settings, primarily working with middle school students in grades 6–8 as a dedicated science educator. With my Master’s-level training and classroom experience, I developed and delivered the core science curriculum, created hands-on learning experiences, and guided students through key concepts in physical, earth, and life sciences. In addition to science, I have also taught all core elementary subjects throughout my career. My teaching approach emphasizes clarity, patience, and connection—making sure each student feels seen and supported. I’ve worked both in traditional classrooms and in one-on-one or small-group settings, allowing me to tailor my instruction to fit a variety of learning needs and styles.

I believe learning happens best when students feel safe, capable, and encouraged to ask questions. Whether I’m helping a student build confidence in reading or deepen their understanding of scientific concepts, my goal is always to meet them where they are and help them grow. My background as a certified educator ensures that I bring structure and professionalism to each session, while also keeping things engaging and student-centered.
