I am a college student studying exercise science on the pre-med track with the goal of becoming a sports medicine physician. My academic background is heavily focused on Biology, English, and Mathematics, and I have consistently performed well in these subjects throughout high school and college: 35 ACT, 4.0 GPA, AP Scholar With Distinction. Because of this strong foundation, I enjoy helping other students understand difficult concepts and develop confidence in subjects that can often feel overwhelming.
I have several years of experience helping students learn in both informal and structured settings. In high school, I helped organize and participate in volunteer tutoring for younger students in math, working one-on-one and in small groups to break down concepts and guide them through practice problems. Since then, I have continued helping classmates and younger students with subjects such as Biology, Calculus, and Algebra. My experience ranges from middle school students to high school and early college learners, and I typically work with students individually so I can tailor explanations to how they learn best.
My tutoring approach focuses on patience and building real understanding. Instead of just giving answers, I walk students through the reasoning behind problems step by step and help them learn how to think through similar questions on their own. I like to connect concepts to real-world examples, especially in science, because it helps students see why the material matters (it also worked wonderfully for me). My goal is always to help students build confidence, study more effectively, and leave each session with a stronger understanding than when they arrived.
