I am a licensed attorney passionate about teaching future lawyers. I specialize in bar exam prep for non-traditional students, first-generation students, and bar exam re-takers. In my "day job," I have 20+ years of experience as an executive leader expert in nonprofit financing, business strategy, and public-private partnerships. As a tutor, I have worked with preK-12, college, and law students in 1:1, group, and classroom settings, including an academic term as a full-time tutor with AmeriCorps. I teach such that our legal profession may grow in its diversity, perspective, and civility as broader swathes of our community achieve that passing bar exam score and become licensed attorneys. In the words of an esteemed law school classmate: "we don't gatekeep over here. It's time to pass the torch."

I graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law top-20 in my class and scored in the 95th percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam on my first attempt. Additionally, I hold a master’s in public health (University of Minnesota) and an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from a top-10 liberal arts college (Carleton College). Prior to law school, I provided strategic coaching services to "big law" litigators on high-profile cases, such as Big Tobacco, black-lung, and Firestone. While in law school, I earned top oralist marks at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (the world’s largest), served as law journal writer and editor, and placed top-of-class in legal research, writing, and analysis courses.
