I am a CS and Mathematics tutor with years of experience working with high school-aged students. Throughout my undergraduate education at Carleton College, I have been a founding member of multiple software startups (see Carleton Impact Fellowship), won various academic awards for Mathematic-related studies (see Gilman Scholar), and will join JPMorgan Chase as a software engineer post-graduation. I have a robust professional background as a software developer, which, in addition to my rigorous academic studies, has allowed me to deliver high-quality lessons year after year to high school-aged students.

My experiences as a founding engineer give me a solid foundational understanding of low- and high-level programming concepts. As part of my professional work, I've optimized back-end code bases to train ML models on outdated machines (low-level), I've built modern, React front-ends that clients would interact with (high-level, and I've implemented entire data pipelines that collect raw numerical and text data into usable forms for various computations. I am also extremely familiar with the maths that underline all of these technologies, which enables me to deliver really comprehensive lectures.

As a tutor, I am patient and understanding. And from my experiences teaching in both a 1-on-1 and classroom setting, I can tailor my teaching style to each student. As someone who grew up in an under-resourced community, I understand the time and resource commitment necessary to make a lesson happen. Thus, I will always go the extra mile to ensure my students succeed.

I am proud of my work as a tutor, and I genuinely love to see my students grow professionally and as a person. I have taught lessons in Python, JavaScript, C, Algebra up to Linear, Calculus up to Multivariate, and sometimes even lessons in entrepreneurship. Everyone has the potential to be a programmer and mathematician, and I am committed to helping each student realize this as well.
