I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with over 20 years of clinical experience and more than 10 years as a college nursing professor. My background includes Cardiac ICU nursing, nursing supervision, and over 11 years in acute care hospital leadership. I currently serve in executive hospital leadership overseeing Interventional Radiology (IR), Float Pool, Endoscopy, GI Clinic, and GI Services, with experience leading entire procedural and medical specialty teams.
As both a practicing healthcare leader and college professor, I bring real-world clinical insight directly into my teaching. I specialize in health promotion, acute and chronic care management, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice. I support ADN, BSN, MSN, and DNP students in strengthening clinical reasoning, developing comprehensive care plans, mastering pathophysiology, navigating leadership and education coursework, improving APA writing, and completing capstone or scholarly projects.
I provide dedicated mentorship for DNP students throughout the full project lifecycle—from topic development and proposal writing to implementation, evaluation, and final defense. I also work closely with MSN students pursuing leadership or education tracks to strengthen systems thinking, curriculum development, and organizational strategy.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, sharpening critical thinking, and applying knowledge to real-world clinical practice—not just preparing for exams. My goal is to help students think like advanced practice nurses, nurse educators, and healthcare leaders.
