About Momcilo

Bio

I hold a doctoral degree in guitar performance. I am a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience. My college textbook is implemented by the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and Duke University.

I offer in-person and online CLASSICAL GUITAR lessons. Although I implement the classical guitar approach in my teaching, all my students learn how to play a variety of popular styles.

I won numerous prizes at classical guitar competitions, including the First Prize at the 2018...

I won numerous prizes at classical guitar competitions, including the First Prize at the 2018 Hong Kong Altamira International Guitar Competition. I played concerts and gave masterclasses and lectures worldwide - in Australia, China, Europe, and North and Latin America.

Since 2024, I started investing most of my time into composing classical music and creating educational materials. My time for teaching students is limited, and I prefer to keep only the most devoted ones. If you would like to get in touch, contact me to check the available time slots.

First lesson impression

Momcilo did not pull out a bunch of scale books as I half expected from my old piano lesson days. He appeared patient and interested while he tried to get an understanding of where I am at with the guitar at this point, and what I would like to focus and improve on. He provided detailed notes and other suggestions following the lesson which were helpful.
