Hello potential students,

My name is Grant. I am a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota. My major was computer science with a minor in mathematics. I am looking to help others through tutoring because I know how much it can help to have personal help when you are struggling with a subject.

My specific qualifications for teaching math and computer science extend beyond my degree. I have several years of on the job experience with with languages including Java, SQL, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, and Git. I also used to tutor through MCTC's tutoring center for walk in hours for a Java class. My method for tutoring was to study what was being taught in the class that week, and being prepared to answer questions related to either the book or the homework assignment. I don't like to just give students the answer, I like to walk them through the process so that they can get to the answer themselves.
