My passion for learning has fueled my desire to help others achieve their learning goals. In particular, I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the English language, whether my students are learning the language for the first time or would like to become grammar professionals. During the course of my own education, I honed my teaching skills but I also strove to gain better understanding of how individuals learn. No two people have the same learning needs or goals, and I pride myself on my ability to establish a custom learning strategy for each student I work with.

My teaching experience includes everything from tutoring elementary students to teaching English to adult speakers of other languages. These experiences have shown me that the most important component to the learning process is a positive atmosphere and I ensure that my students enjoy each lesson. Laughter and joy are an essential part of my teaching style.

I specialize in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to all age groups and tutoring literature, grammar and reading skills to elementary students. Whatever the subject, I balance the fun of the lesson with challenging and interesting content. I also encourage seamless learning by assigning homework after each lesson, taking into account the other demands on my students’ time. I also begin each teaching/ tutoring cycle with establishing concrete goals, and together with the student, I institute ways of measuring success. Measuring the success of the lessons will always include the opportunity for my student to give me feedback; I will always listen to my student's needs and implement changes immediately.

I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Science in English. While at university, I studied literature and grammar extensively and often assisted my classmates and friends in analyzing poems, plays and novels, as well as proof reading their academic papers.
I also have a TESOL certification issued by Trinity College Lond
