Undergraduate math and physics tutor

Freddy here. I recently graduated Vassar College with a B.A. in physics & mathematics. At school, I spent four years tutoring undergraduate physics and math courses (it was my on-campus job!), and the boss named me Head Tutor for my troubles... I really enjoyed helping people figure out opaque concepts and the homework questions that left them stumped, so I am moving to tutor online, while it's all still fresh! If you're a college student struggling in a class or need general help (eg. proof writing, dimensional analysis, etc.) I am happy to talk with you and we can work through it together.

I should say that I graduated with general honors and departmental honors in both physics and math. My math major GPA was 4.00, and my physics major GPA was 3.99 (one A- will really get you...); I also got the physics prize my junior year, which was $1200. Also, I did a correlate in Chinese, so if you are a Chinese international student who's having trouble keeping up in their physics/math due to a language barrier, I could probably help with that too! I am also happy to help with basic coding questions in Python, Java, Mathematica, and Matlab.

I can tutor most standard undergraduate physics and math courses (except statistics unfortunately... I don't know much about it). Specifically focused on theoretical physics and pure math– so I'll be most helpful with classes of that flavor, eg. real analysis, modern algebra, quantum mechanics, modern physics, stat mech, linear algebra, etc. Please reach out if you want to know about a specific course, or have any questions!
