Native Spanish Speaker| Psychology Major| Bilingual Tutor for Spanish

I am a native Mexican Spanish speaker and fully bilingual Psychology major at the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota, where I maintain a 3.4 GPA. Spanish is my first language and English is my second, which means I do not just teach Spanish from a textbook, I teach it the way it is actually spoken, thought, and felt. I bring that same lived bilingual experience to my ESL students, because I know firsthand what it takes to build confidence and fluency in a second language.

My tutoring experience includes one-on-one online sessions with students ranging from elementary school through university level. I have worked with an AP Psychology student through a comprehensive exam preparation curriculum covering all five units of the 2025 College Board course, including research methods, memory, development, social psychology, and mental health. I have also worked with university students preparing for Spanish placement interviews, high school students in Spanish 2 and 3, and adult ESL learners building professional English communication skills. My approach focuses on real understanding over memorization. I want students to actually think in the language or concept, not just perform it for a test.

As a first-generation college student who navigated the college application process, financial aid, and academic life entirely without a roadmap, I bring genuine empathy to every student I work with. I know what it feels like to struggle without support, and that experience shapes how I show up for the people I tutor. My sessions are encouraging, structured, and always tailored to exactly where the student is and where they need to go.
