Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m passionate about supporting children’s academic growth and helping each student build confidence in their abilities.
I bring over 20 years of experience in teaching and child development. I hold a Liberal Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, a teaching degree from Rutgers University, and a Master of Science in Global, International, and Comparative Education from Drexel University. I currently teach 3rd grade in Minnesota, where I support students in building strong foundations in reading, math, and core academic skills.
In 2026, I completed Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) training, which deepened my expertise in evidence-based reading instruction and literacy development.
When working with your child, I take a personalized and thoughtful approach. I begin by assessing their current skills and getting to know their unique learning style. From there, I design tailored lessons that align with both your goals and your child’s needs.
Each session includes a warm-up activity, clear and explicit instruction, and guided practice with support. I also provide simple, meaningful activities for students to work on between sessions to reinforce their learning.
I believe that learning should be both challenging and joyful. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and growing with confidence.
