Hello! My name is Cam (he/him) and I am an experienced educator and special education paraprofessional living in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. I enjoy working with students who experience difficulties in a mainstream setting and benefit from 1-on-1 academic support and skill-building.
I have 6 years of experience as a special education para, working in both elementary and middle school settings to provide instructional and social-emotional support to students. I frequently work with students on behavior support plans, IEPs or 504 plans, and who receive other accommodations, most often due to diagnoses of emotional behavioral disorders (EBDs) and/or being on the autism spectrum.
I have also led summer camp and community education courses with neurodivergent students in mind, including culinary courses, garden club, after-school homework help, and crafting/arts activities. I look forward to meeting you and your student!
