I am a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Master’s degree in ECE and over 5 years of industry experience in electrical engineering working on embedded systems and power electronics. I am passionate about helping students conquer concepts they once thought were impossible. Whether you are a high schooler struggling with Algebra, a college student navigating the rigors of Calculus, or a professional preparing for the FE or PE exams, my goal is to build your confidence and ensure you understand the material so deeply that you could explain it to someone else.
I teach strategies to help people learn the concepts, not just have them memorize formulas. I believe that understanding why a concept matters in the real world (such as the world of engineering) is the key to long-term retention. I tailor my teaching to your specific life goals, ensuring we focus on the "pain points" that hold you back. My sessions involve active problem-solving, real-world examples, and the use of industry-standard tools (MATLAB, LTSpice, Oscilloscopes, and high-level calculators like the TI-36X Pro and the TI-NSPIRE) to gather and interpret data. Having passed both the FE and the PE (Electronics, Communications, and Controls) exams on my first attempt, I know exactly what it takes to succeed under pressure and pass these tests.
I have tutored high school students in a private 1 on 1 settings in algebra and calculus for 2 years in high school. I have also help grade algebra tests as a TA in high school and know the common pitfalls that lead to poor scores. I plan on doing whatever is necessary to improve myself as a tutor whether it is improving my teaching strategies, reviewing concepts, and incorporating feedback from my students.
