Professionally, I have several years of experience working in higher education. This includes extensive work coaching students on college essays, personal statements, and written communication skills, which I approach with a balance of structure, encouragement, and clarity.
In addition, I have tutored and supported students in both one-on-one and small-group settings, helping high school and college-aged learners strengthen their writing skills, improve their study habits, and gain confidence in subject areas such as social studies, language arts, and French. My tutoring style is student-centered and adaptive, where I focus on breaking down complex concepts into understandable steps, building critical thinking, and meeting each student where they are in their learning process.
Throughout my experiences, I have primarily worked with high school juniors and seniors preparing for college, although I welcome students at various levels who want to improve their skills. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and engaging environment that helps students not only improve academically but also feel more confident in their abilities.
