Hello there! My name is Alek and I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I have had multiple work experiences in tech and have conducted research and projects on various topics in my major. What I have found throughout my time in this field is that we learn best when we allow ourselves to foster curiosity and creativity. The best teachers I have had always pushed me to foster these traits, and ever since I have been passionate about teaching others as well! I am dedicated to learning and teaching tech skills and I want to bring that passion to others who want to grow their own skills! Or even for those unsure or who are just trying to figure out where to start. That is often the most fun part of the journey (but maybe not always the easiest)!
I also have gotten many opportunities to teach, such as leading a university level lab teaching computer architecture with C and x86-64 assembly to college students. I also worked as a coding tutor teaching Python, Web Development, and even Scratch to kids ranging from elementary to high school, still just getting into coding! I am comfortable teaching students of any age and I am a firm believer that it is never too early or too late to start learning tech. It is such a huge field with lots to learn, with enough time anybody can find something that interests them!
