I am a graduate of Buena Vista University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Education and Iowa State University receiving a Special Education Endorsement. While attending school, I tutored students in grades 7-12 with an emphasis on study skills, organizational skills, and test-taking skills. Soon after, I taught special education where I empowered students to become independent learners while using creative approaches to accommodate varied learning styles while tracking student progress and following timelines for re-evaluations. I developed IEP and 504 plans with collaboration from teachers, parents, and each student. While I taught a broad range of subjects, I'm most passionate about reading and writing improvement using the Kansas University Learning Strategies. The life skills of organization, studying, and test-taking are instilled in my students as it incorporated into my lessons helping students achieve their goals along with the right attitude, tools, and skills within their reach.

I have been tutoring online for five years now with experience in Elementary Math and Reading, Executive Functioning for all grade levels, and lastly, GED Prep. I use a variety of resources available, explore what your learning style is, and use materials relevant to what your learning in a fun way! My ratings are 5 out of 5 stars because I'm a good listener, I teach step by step and demonstrate through the three learning styles: visually, auditorily, and kinesthetically.
