Hello! I am a writer of creative fiction, nonfiction, and essays. I hold a BA in Technical Communication & Professional Writing and a Creative Writing certificate. I have a firm grasp on composition styles, grammar and syntax, literary analysis, and how to write for a particular purpose and audience. My style of assistance involves reviewing an assignment's requirements in detail, asking guiding questions, and providing additional resources to help you discover your own direction. I am here to help you learn and develop your personal voice, not just to bump grades (although that will likely happen as a happy side effect).

I delight in the craft of writing. I often spend my free time in collaboration, helping friends build stories and hone their own creative skills. In college, I was a tutor for a semester, but even when I wasn't "on the clock", I enjoyed classroom critiques and moments when my peers and I were able to challenge and build upon each other's work. I consider nonfiction to be just as creative as any other genre, and likewise any creative project just as technical as something more instructionally based. Whether you're writing an essay or a poem, you are telling a story and making a statement. How are you going to use that power?

On a personal note, I am on the autistic spectrum and am gender-nonconforming. I will be open and sympathetic to both learning and social struggles, and will do my best to support you where I am able, as long as the acknowledgement and respect of limitations goes both ways. I have my specialties, but I, like most humans on this earth, am neither perfect nor all-knowing (although that would be pretty cool). :)
