Hello! My name is Shahraz and I am a second-year medical student at the esteemed University of Minnesota. My academic journey began at McGill University in Canada, where I graduated with First Class Honours in Anatomy and Cell Biology. Since high school, I've been passionate about teaching, which led me to become a Teaching Assistant in various courses during my undergraduate years. I had the privilege of serving as a TA for both Psychology and Physiology courses, where I not only facilitated classroom activities but also conducted one-on-one tutoring sessions and held comprehensive review sessions prior to exams. Additionally, I made myself readily available to students by promptly responding to emails whenever they encountered difficulties throughout the course. These experiences solidified my commitment to guiding and supporting students through their academic challenges, fostering an environment where learning is both enriching and accessible.

My path to medical school has equipped me with a unique perspective and skill set that I bring to my role as a tutor. Having personally navigated the rigorous process of applying to medical school and achieving a high score on the MCAT (92nd percentile), I intimately understand the challenges and anxieties that students encounter during such pivotal moments in their academic journey. Through these experiences, I've not only refined my academic abilities but also cultivated traits like patience, resilience, and effective study strategies. I find immense fulfillment in guiding students towards their academic goals and instilling in them a genuine love for learning.
