I've been working in the 3D realm for 20+ years. My career has spanned from small finish shops in Minneapolis to working with Marvel and many other high end clients in New York City. I've been working in the 3D realm for 20+ years. My career has spanned from small finish shops in Minneapolis to working with Marvel and many other high end clients in New York City. A slice of my show experience is The Tick, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Black List, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, many Netflix independents and some features. I've worked with studios such as; 1st Avenue Machine, FuseFX, Stardust, Aggressive and many more studios in NYC. My teaching experience comes from some of my cadre experience in the Army, but more applicable to this would be my experience working with "The Animation Project" in NYC. A program developed by a fellow artist who started a non profit to offer criminal "last chance" young offenders an alternative to traditional punishments. Rather than pick up garbage on the highway... Make some art.... learn a skill.... It was a lovely opportunity to share my craft and help some youth (12-18) in need of direction.
I graduated from the Arts Internation Minneapolis (now defunct), and graduated from the UofM summer honors program for sculptor. Both many years ago. I currently own a successful music studio here in Minneapolis, yet, miss the days of my shelved craft and would love to share with the new folks looking to dive in..... I teach by walk throughs, observing student execution, addressing hang ups along the sessions, assignments, critiques and conversations about improvement.
Thanks.
