I am able to teach in a wide range of mathematics, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, Calculus I & II, Linear Algebra, and introductory college-level Statistics. I am also happy to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT Math sections.
My teaching philosophy is based on understanding how each student learns. Rather than simply demonstrating procedures, I focus on finding where misunderstandings begin and tailoring explanations to address them. Working with more than 50 first-year STEM students in the past 2 years has taught me the common challenges that arise when transitioning from high school to college mathematics. This also taught me to adapt my teaching style to meet students where they are. My goal is not only to help students solve problems, but also to develop the confidence and problem-solving skills that will serve them long after our tutoring sessions.
