I am a Finance student at Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a strong academic background in mathematics, economics, and business-related subjects. Throughout my college experience, I have consistently worked with numbers, problem solving, and analytical thinking, which naturally led me to help classmates and younger students better understand complex concepts in a clear and practical way. My studies focus on corporate finance, financial analysis, statistics, and quantitative decision-making, and I enjoy breaking down intimidating topics into manageable, logical steps.
My tutoring experience comes from one-on-one academic support with fellow college students and younger learners, where I help with subjects such as math, basic statistics, economics, accounting fundamentals, and introductory finance. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s level and learning pace, whether they need help preparing for exams, completing assignments, or strengthening foundational skills. Rather than memorization, I focus on understanding the “why” behind each concept, using real-world examples to make the material more engaging and relatable.
As a tutor, my goal is not only to improve grades, but also to build confidence and independence in learning. I am patient, detail-oriented, and committed to helping students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I work best in one-on-one settings and have experience supporting students from middle school through early college level. I believe that with the right explanation and encouragement, any student can improve their performance and develop long-term academic skills.
