I currently teach middle school students in a small classroom, 3:1 student teacher ratio. I currently teach social and emotional learning, but also help them get caught up on missing assignments from all their classes. I also previously taught fifth grade math and science for five months as a long term substitute teacher.

I also previously taught fifth grade math and science for five months as a long term substitute teacher.
I love working with students and helping them find a love for subjects they previously disliked because they didn’t understand it.
When I work with students, I like to understand what they already know, then find different ways to explain it to them, based on what style of learning they need. I make sure they have time to practice on their own to demonstrate understanding of the lesson that was taught; then I use where they may not understand or struggle to begin our next lesson. This ensures that they fully grasp the concept before moving on.
