Hello! My name is Clara, and I would love to help you improve your art and drawing skills. I graduated Valedictorian from SCAD Atlanta (Savannah College of Art and Design) in 2016. I have been drawing comics professionally since 2014, my Junior year in college, and have drawn 'Shadow Play’ for Scout Comics, and ‘Midnight Vista’ for Aftershock comics, among others. While in college I also worked for about a year as a peer tutor for both comics students and freshmen in foundational classes such as introductory drawing, figure drawing, still lifes, and design.
Since working in comics requires a full and functional understanding of drawing basics, I’m happy to help with any aspect of drawing, it certainly doesn’t have to be comic-related. I can help you with basic skills like anatomy, perspective, lighting, shot composition, or whatever is giving you trouble.
On the other hand, if you are specifically interested in learning to make comics or improving your comic-making skills, I am here to help with that too!
No matter what you’re interested in improving or what you feel you need help with, I believe that learning to draw, or improving your drawing skills, is very much worth your time. I have learned from experience that drawing is not only a fun and rewarding way to express your ideas and creativity; it also grows your problem solving skills, your awareness, and your appreciation for the world around you. Let me know how you’d like to grow as an artist and I’ll do everything I can to help you get there!
