I am an experienced (18 years) fluent French teacher, with recent experience teaching English to students trying to pass the TOEFL exam. I also have 6 years experience teaching Spanish. Currently, I’m a stay-at-home mother to a 4 year old, interested in tutoring locally or online. I am very outgoing, kind and love teaching.

The best teachers I have had engaged with the students in class and made the material clear, relevant and fun. I have been told that I know how to break things down, give examples and help students "get it", whatever that "it" might be. I even subbed for a math class once and students told me I explained that day's algebra lesson better than their own teacher! Also, I want to know about who I'm tutoring! It is my goal to motivate students to learn the language by connecting their own interests and personalizing the lessons if I can. I want the students to enjoy the learning and want to learn more!
Plain and simple: I love what I do.
With eighteen years of managing classrooms and teaching every kind of learner from behavior-challenged to those with a second grade reading level, from National Merit Finalists to those who were just seeking to graduate high school, students which were of all ethnicities and from many socio-economic backgrounds, I have a wealth of experience behind me. I have taught in both suburban and urban school districts, at high school and university levels, with extremely diverse populations, and am dedicated to connecting to any student --teen or adult--who would like to learn/practice French, English (ESL) or Spanish.
