Hi! I’m a technology professional with a strong academic background in mathematics, physics, and computer science, and I offer tutoring in math and technology-related subjects for students and adult learners.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology, and my academic background includes several years of university-level coursework in physics and engineering, where I completed advanced classes focused on analytical thinking and mathematical modeling. This training allows me to explain math and technical concepts clearly and adapt explanations to each student’s learning style. I tutor elementary, middle school, and high school math (including Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus+), introductory computer science, and foundational technology topics.
In addition to my academic background, I have over 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, working as an engineer in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space. A major part of my role involves teaching and explaining complex technical concepts to people with varying experience levels. I bring this same approach to tutoring by breaking topics down step by step, identifying where confusion begins, and reinforcing core fundamentals.
I have experience working with students across a wide range of experience levels. I spent two years as a YMCA counselor with elementary and middle school students and an additional two years as a small group leader for elementary-aged children, where I developed patience, clear communication skills and a supportive teaching style. At university, I spent a year assisting other students in an electronic physics course by helping explain concepts and work through problems under the guidance of the professor, particularly supporting non-STEM majors.
I aim to help students build confidence, understand the material, and make steady progress. If you’re looking for a tutor who values patience and clear explanations, I’d be happy to help.
