Hi I'm Joe! I have a BS in Bioengineering, MS in Computer Science and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
I have 10+ years of industry experience as a research/data scientist, across diverse industries such as medical devices, e-commerce, and healthcare. My expertise spans signal processing, machine learning, statistics, and data science.

I'm passionate about tutoring/mentoring students. I have been a TA for Mandarin Chinese in college engineering courses in gradute school. I've also mentored high school and college students as an industry professional. I currently provide 1 on 1 mentorship to high school students aspiring to do independent research through the platform Polygence.

I am patient and observant. I listen carefully to my students and try hard to understand where their pain points. I go the extra mile to meet students at their level of experience and understanding. I like to foster in my students the ability to learn independently, and I tailor my approach to promote independent thinking.
