My experience in teaching derives from being an attorney, college instructor and a mother of three children. My personal commitment is to assist students to realize their potential, and to help improve their test scores and grades in English, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. To achieve these goals, I assign homework, provide assessments and progress reports. Having worked as a college instructor for nine years, I can help students understand three essential rules for succeeding in school: go to class, read the books, and talk to your teachers.
Each student is unique. It is an acquired skill to learn and retain information from lecture, reading, audiovisual, demonstration and discussion. My personal approach for tutoring is to help students acquire the skills to understand how they learn best. I have a gift for communication and teaching. It is an absolute joy to help students see how learning can come alive, be fun, rather than a chore.
Through 25 years of practicing law, I have the knowledge, skills and common sense, to present a clear and complete guide as to how to understand written material, improve study skills and achieve better exam results. I look forward to working with you. Together, we can build academic success.
