*Willing to Tutor Online or In-Person with Masked and Vaccinated Students*

I am willing to tutor students of various ages in numerous subjects! I love to tutor in many subject areas, mostly in the humanities, such as Religion, History, Social Studies, English, Art History, and Political Science. I also tutor Study Skills and basic Reading.

I want my students to succeed. This includes not only comprehension and demonstration of comprehension, but also to be equipped with study skills that can be employed in almost any course. As a tutor for several courses during my undergraduate career, I often attended training sessions that taught me about study methods, working with people who have disabilities, working with international and ESL students, and time management. I also tutored during my time in AmeriCorps, working with elementary and middle school-aged ESL students and at-risk students in reading skills.

I tutored for the Public School District, students in grades 6-10, all subject areas.

I have a 24 hour-notice cancellation policy, and am willing to reschedule makeup sessions. I have a somewhat flexible schedule and can travel to meet a student.

she taught my daughter to process, understand, and retain!

My daughter has reading processing challenges and English as a second language. After 2 lessons my daughter calls us and says “I feel smart. I actually understand and know this!” She got an 85 and was exempt from midterms.

Knowledgeable tutor

We had Elizabeth work with my daughter throughout the school year to prepare for taking the AP US History (APUSH) test, which is one of the most difficult AP exams offered at her high school. Elizabeth's approach to teaching and working with my daughter has helped with not only better understanding the material, but increased her confidence and test taking abilities. Elizabeth is very patient and thorough, and flexible and easy to communicate with. She always provided comprehensive updates that outlined what was worked on during each session so we were able to ensure our daughter's sessions were productive and worthwhile, and of value. The day of the AP test, Elizabeth checked in with our daughter and gave her words of encouragement and support. While we won't know the results of the test for a few months, we're confident we will get favorable results because without Elizabeth's help, we might not otherwise have been able to be prepared for this test. We highly recommend Elizabeth for anyone needing extra help, especially in US History!

Amazing with my daughter!

Elizabeth is so patient and kind with my daughter who will be entering 2nd grade this fall. She is great with younger kids and keeps them interested, engaged and excited throughout the lesson. We look forward to seeing her as she doesn't make it feel like "school" for my child. Just fun learning!
